Upcoming Events | | Other Info: | | Brandon M. Hardy started his military career in the US Air Force in the summer of 1999. He reached the rank of Staff Sergeant and was active in the Honor Guard. He felt he was not doing enough for his country so he gave up his rank and joined the Marine Corps in January 2005. As a Marine, Brandon was stationed in the Haditha Dam area of Al Anbar in Iraq. While on patrol in the early morning hours of April 28 2006, Brandon’s vehicle was hit by an IED. Brandon and two of his brothers in arms died in that explosion.
Brandon’s family has set up the Cpl Brandon M. Hardy Memorial Scholarship Fund to honor their son. There is a motorcycle run every year on the east coast to raise money and honor not only Brandon but all of our brothers and sisters in arms that have given the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
Brandon was a dear friend of my wife, Pamela. Although I was never given a chance to met Brandon, I feel I know him, through her stories, and those of others I have spoken to. I wanted to be part of this noble cause, to honor all of our fallen. With the family’s approval, I started a motorcycle run on the west coast to do the same.
With this being a benefit, I am relying on donations to make this event a success. Any donation (money or things for the raffle) would be greatly appreciated.
